Starry Triggerfish

Le baliste étoilé (Abalistes stellaris) est une espèce de poissons marins originaire de l'océan Indo-Pacifique ouest jusqu'à la mer Rouge et l'Afrique orientale. Il vit sur les fonds sablonneux ou vaseux et les récifs coralliens. Il mange des animaux tels que des crustacés comme les crabes, des mollusques et des petits poissons.

Abalistes stellatus, the starry triggerfish or flat-tailed triggerfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Balistidae, the triggerfishes. This triggerfish has a wide Indo-Pacific distribution. Taxonomy Abalistes stellatus was first formally described in 1798 by an anonymous author, the description being published in Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung and is the author thought to be Bernard Germain de Lacépède based on a description he found in a manuscript written by Philibert Commerson.

Abalistes stellatus es una especie de pez ballesta del género Abalistes, familia Balistidae. ​ Se distribuye por la región del Indo-Pacífico Occidental: desde el mar Rojo, África Oriental hacia el este a través del norte de Australia hasta Fiyi, hacia el norte hasta el sur de Japón. ​ La longitud total (TL) es de 60 centímetros.
