Peg-billed Finch

Le Bec-en-cheville gris (Acanthidops bairdi) est une espèce de passereau de la famille des Thraupidae. C'est la seule espèce du genre Acanthidops. Description Cet oiseau mesure environ 13,5 cm de longueur.

The peg-billed finch (Acanthidops bairdi) is a passerine bird endemic to the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama. Despite its name, it is not a true finch, but now recognized as a member of the tanager family (Thraupidae), after being long placed in the Emberizidae. It is the only member of the genus Acanthidops.

El yal costarricense,​ fringilo piquiagudo (en Costa Rica) o pinzón piquiagudo (en Panamá) (Acanthidops bairdi)​ es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Thraupidae, la única perteneciente al género Acanthidops. Es endémica de Costa Rica y el extremo occidental de Panamá. Anteriormentes se clasificaba en la familia Emberizidae.
