Acromis spinifex is a species of tortoise beetle from South America. The males have enlarged elytra which are probably used in male–male combat, while females are among the few tortoise beetles to show maternal care of their offspring. Distribution Acromis spinifex is found across South America, from Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela in the north to Peru, northern Argentina and Paraguay in the south.

Acromis spinifex es un coleóptero de la familia Chrysomelidae. Fue descrita en 1763 por Linnaeus. ​ Al igual que otras especies del género, presentan dimorfismo sexual.
