Orange-breasted Waxbill

Le Bengali zébré (Amandava subflava) est une espèce de passereaux appartenant à la famille des Estrildidae. Description Cet oiseau mesure environ 9 cm de longueur. Il présente un léger dimorphisme sexuel, la femelle ayant un plumage plus terne que le mâle.

The orange-breasted waxbill (Amandava subflava), also known as the zebra waxbill, is a small (approximately 9 cm long) sparrow-like bird with a reddish iris, orange breast, red bill and dark olive-green plumage. The male has a red rump, dark bars on the whitish flank and a scarlet eyebrow stripe. The female is duller and smaller than male; it also lacks the male's red eyebrow.

El bengalí cebra​​ (Amandava subflava) es un ave pequeña (de aproximadamente 9 cm largo) de la familia Estrildidae, orden Passeriformes. El macho posee un llamativo plumaje, con el pecho de color naranja amarillento, pico rojo y una característica ceja del mismo color. La hembra tiene un plumaje más apagado y es de menor tamaño que el macho, careciendo además de la ceja rojiza de los machos de esta especie.
