It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Alabama, Alberta, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
