Ancistrus leucostictus is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Loricariidae, the suckermouth armoured catfishes, and the subfamily Hypostominae, the suckermouth catfishes. This catfish is, as far as is known, endemic to Guyana. Taxonomy Ancistrus leucostictus was first formally described in 1864 by the ichthyologists Lesley S.
