The giant mottled eel (Anguilla marmorata), also known as the marbled eel, is a species of tropical anguillid eel that is found in the Indo-Pacific and adjacent freshwater habitats. Description Similar to other anguillids, the giant mottled eel is cylindrical with small, well-developed pectoral fins and a protruding lower jaw. The eel has thick, fleshy lips.

Anguilla marmorata o anguila gigante moteada es una especie de pez del género Anguilla, familia Anguillidae. Fue descrita científicamente por Quoy & Gaimard en 1824. ​ Se distribuye por la región del Indo-Pacífico: África Oriental, el interior de Mozambique y la parte baja del río Zambezi hasta la Polinesia francesa, desde el norte hasta el sur de Japón.
