Blue-crowned Parakeet

La Conure à tête bleue (Thectocercus acuticaudatus) est une espèce d'oiseaux de la famille des Psittacidae. Description Cet oiseau mesure environ 37 cm de longueur pour une envergure de 61 cm et une masse de 200 g. Le plumage de la Conure à tête bleue est vert, plus vif sur les parties supérieures et plus nuancé sur les inférieures.

The blue-crowned parakeet, blue-crowned conure, or sharp-tailed conure (Thectocercus acuticaudatus) is a small green Neotropical parrot with a blue head and pale beak native to large parts of South America, from eastern Colombia to Curacao in the southern Caribbean, and to the northern region of Argentina. They inhabit savanna-like habitats, woodland and forest margins, but avoid dense humid forest such as the Amazon. This species is officially called a parakeet by the AOU and by birders, though usually called conures in aviculture.

El calancate común, perico de corona azul o aratinga cabeciazul (Thectocercus acuticaudatus) es el único miembro del género monotípico Thectocercus. Está ampliamente distribuido por Sudamérica, habitando de forma disjunta desde el mar Caribe hasta el norte de la Patagonia argentina. Descripción Mide aproximadamente 37 cm de largo y pesa entre 140 y 190 g.
