Arhopala agaba

Arhopala est un genre d'insectes lépidoptères de la sous-famille des Theclinae (famille des Lycaenidae) et compte plus de 200 espèces localisées dans la zone Asie-Pacifique. En anglais ces espèces sont appelées Oakblues.

Arhopala agaba, the purple-glazed oakblue, (sometimes placed in Amblypodia) is a small butterfly found from India to Thailand, Langkawi, Indochina, Peninsular Malaysia to the Philippines and Sumatra that belongs to the lycaenids or blues family. The species was first described by William Chapman Hewitson in 1862. Description The male is above darker and duller blue than Arhopala havilandi; female violettish blue with a black margin being particularly broad at the apex of the forewing and at the distal margin of the hindwing.

Áurea es un municipio Brasileño del estado de Rio Grande do Sul, pertenece a la Mesorregión Noroeste Rio-Grandense y a la Microrregión de Erechim. Se encuentra ubicado a una latitud de 27° 41' Sur y una longitud de 52° 04' Oeste. Fue creada el 24 de noviembre de 1987.
