Arhopala amantes, the large oakblue, is a species of lycaenid or blue butterfly found in Asia. (India, Ceylon, Burma, Thailand) Arhopala amantes is the largest lycaenid. It is surprisingly inconspicuous on the wing despite the brilliant metallic blue markings on its upperside.
