Elm Seed Bug

Michele Lessona est un médecin et un célèbre zoologiste italien, né le 20 septembre 1823 à Venaria Reale près de Turin et mort le 20 juillet 1894 à Turin. Biographie Michele Lessona est issu d'une très ancienne famille que l'on trouve déjà mentionnée au treizième siècle. Il est le troisième des neuf enfants de Carlo Lessona et Agnese Maria Cavagnotti.

Arocatus melanocephalus, the elm seed bug, is a Heteroptera in the family Lygaeidae. The species was initially described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1798, and Maximilian Spinola designated it to be the type species of the genus Arocatus in 1837. This bug is native to Europe but has been introduced to North America.
