Atherina presbyter est une espèce de poissons marins du genre Atherina, appelée prêtre, trogue (Arcachon), troyne, faux éperlan, petit curé, belek bihan, prêtro, petit prêtre, prêteau, rosette, roseré, grasdeau, grado, ou kanchua. À tort, Atherina presbyter est également appelé éperlan, mais aussi athérine ou joël, entrainant la confusion avec Atherina boyeri. The sand smelt (Atherina presbyter) is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Atherinidae, the silversides. This species is found in the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean. Taxonomy The sand smelt was first formally described in 1829 by the French zoologist Georges Cuvier, with its type locality given as the Atlantic coast of France.

El abichón (Atherina presbyter),​ en algunos lugares denominado guelde, cabezuda, chirrete, pejerreye, piarda o sula, es una especie de pez actinopterigio de agua salada. ​ Su pesca carece de interés, sólo para pesca de subsistencia. ​ Morfología Con el cuerpo alargado color plateado, la longitud máxima descrita es de unos 20 cm.
