Pygmy Mangel Beetle

Atomaria linearis is a species of silken fungus beetle native to Europe. According to the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), the common name of the species is pygmy mangold beetle.

Atomaria linearis (atomaire de la betterave) est une espèce d'insectes coléoptères de la famille des Cryptophagidae, originaires d'Europe. Cet insecte phytophage est un ravageur de certaines espèces de Chenopodiaceae sauvages et cultivées, dont la betterave (Beta vulgaris). Synonymes Atomaria herminea Reitter, Atomaria pygmaea Heer, Atomaria uhagoni Reitter.

La Atomaria linearis es una especie de escarabajo del moho sedoso nativa del continente europeo. ​​ Según la Organización europea y mediterránea para la protección vegetal, el nombre común de la especie es escarabajo enano de la acelga. ​ Suele vivir en sustratos mohosos y es de la familia de los criptofágidos.
