Black-legged Mongoose

La mangouste à pattes noires (Bdeogale nigripes) est une espèce de mangouste décrite par Jacques Pucheran en 1855. Elle fait partie du genre Bdeogale. Description La mangouste à pattes noires est grande et puissante, elle a une tête massive et un nez assez large.

The black-footed mongoose (Bdeogale nigripes), also called the black-legged mongoose, is a mongoose species native to Central Africa, where it inhabits deep deciduous forests from eastern Nigeria to the southern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has been listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List since 2008. It is omnivorous and feeds on ants, termites, Orthoptera, small rodents, frogs, lizards and fruits.

La mangosta patinegra (Bdeogale nigripes) es una especie de mamífero carnívoro de la familia Herpestidae que habita en África Central. ​ A diferencia de la mayoría de sus parientes, la mangosta de patas negras poseen solo cuatro dedos en cada extremidad en lugar de cinco. ​ Distribución y hábitat La especie habita en la selva africana, desde el sureste de Nigeria hasta el norte de la República Democrática del Congo y el norte de Angola.
