Shorttail Snake Eel

Margaret Hamilton Storey (31 juillet 1900 - 18 octobre 1960) est une conservatrice de musée, herpétologiste et ichtyologue américaine. Elle travaille pour le musée d'histoire naturelle de l'université Stanford pendant plus de 25 ans. Biographie Margaret Storey est née à San Francisco, en Californie, dans une famille instruite.

Callechelys guineensis, the shorttail snake eel, is an eel in the family Ophichthidae (worm/snake eels). It was described by Balthazar Osório in 1893, originally under the genus Ophichthys. It is a marine, tropical eel which is known from the western and eastern Atlantic Ocean, including Florida, USA, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, the Bahamas, Saint Barthélemy, Senegal, Lesser Antilles, and Cape Verde.
