Black-pencilled Marmoset

L'Ouistiti à pinceaux noirs ou Ouistiti pénicillé (Callithrix penicillata) est une espèce de primate de la famille des Callitrichidae. Description Sa robe est brune mouchetée de gris. Son dos et sa queue sont rayés de noir et de gris.

The black-tufted marmoset (Callithrix penicillata) is a species of New World monkey that lives primarily in the Neotropical gallery forests of the Brazilian Central Plateau. It ranges from Bahia to Paraná, and as far inland as Goiás, between 14°S and 25°S, and can commonly be seen in the Rio de Janeiro city where it was introduced. This marmoset typically resides in rainforests, living an arboreal life high in the trees, below the canopy.

Callithrix penicillata es una especie de primate platirrino de la familia Callitrichidae. ​​ Habita en las sabanas (cerrado), en los bosques semicaducos estacionales, bosques secundarios y bosques en galería de la región Centro-Oeste de Brasil. Algunas especies de tamarinos, como el Callithrix penicillata, son comúnmente capturadas y vendidas como mascotas.
