Callyspongia californica

Callyspongia californica

Classification

Chromolaichma sedna is a species of colorful sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Chromodorididae. Taxonomy This species was previously placed in the genus Glossodoris Ehrenberg, 1831, but it was transferred to genus Doriprismatica by Johnson & Gosliner in 2012 on the basis of molecular results. Distribution Originally described from the Eastern Pacific, records from the Caribbean are considered the result of a recent introduction, presumably human-introduced.
