Cambarellus puer is a species of crayfish in the family Cambaridae. It is known commonly as the swamp dwarf crayfish. It is native to the United States, where it can be found in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Cambarellus es un género de crustáceos decápodos dulceacuícolas del infraorden Astacidea conocidos coloquialmente como acociles, chacales, chacalines, chapos o langostas de río. Las 17 especies conocidas pertenecientes a este género son endémicas de América. Se les encuentra en México, y Centroamérica.
