batwing coral crab

Carpilius corallinus, communément nommé Crabe bombé antillais, Crabe corail ou Tou'teau, est une espèce de crustacé marin de la famille des Carpiliidae. La Crabe bombé antillais est présent dans les eaux tropicales de la zone occidentale de l'Océan Atlantique et plus particulièrement dans le Golfe du Mexique et la Mer des Caraïbes et des côtes de la Floride au Brésil. Ce crabe est comestible.

Carpilius corallinus, commonly known as the batwing coral crab, is a species of crab in the family Carpiliidae. The batwing coral crab is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the western Atlantic Ocean from the coast of Florida south to Brazil including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. It is the largest crab found within this geographic area, and is edible.
