Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture

L'Urubu à tête jaune (Cathartes burrovianus) est une espèce de rapaces de la famille des Cathartidae, comprenant les vautours du Nouveau Monde. Il n'était pas distingué du Grand Urubu (C. melambrotus) jusqu'en 1964.

The lesser yellow-headed vulture (Cathartes burrovianus), also known as the savannah vulture, is a species of bird in the New World vulture family Cathartidae. It was considered to be the same species as the greater yellow-headed vulture until they were split in 1964. It is found in Mexico, Central America, and South America in seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, and heavily degraded former forest.

El aura sabanera​ (Cathartes burrovianus) es una especie de ave carroñera de la familia Cathartidae. ​ También recibe los nombres comunes de jote cabeza amarilla (Argentina y Chile), urubú cabeza amarilla (Brasil), guala sabanera (Colombia), zopilote cabecigualdo (Costa Rica y Nicaragua), zopilote sabanero (México), y cuervo cabeza amarilla (Paraguay y Uruguay). ​ Fue considerada conespecífica con el aura selvática (Cathartes melambrotus) hasta el año 1964, cuando ambos taxones fueron considerados especies independientes.
