Joined Underwing

Populus fremontii, appelé communément Peuplier noir de Californie, est une espèce de plantes à fleurs de la famille des Salicaceae d'origine nord-américaine. Description Populus fremontii est un arbre pouvant atteindre une hauteur de 12 à 35 m avec une couronne large, avec un tronc atteignant 1,5 m de diamètre à hauteur de poitrine. L'écorce est lisse lorsqu'elle est jeune, devenant profondément fissurée avec de l'écorce craquelée blanchâtre sur les vieux arbres.

Catocala junctura, the joined underwing or Stretch's underwing, is a moth in the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Francis Walker in 1858. It is found throughout temperate North America, ranging from New York and Pennsylvania west to Montana, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, and into Texas, and north to southern Illinois, extreme southern Alberta and Saskatchewan; it has also been recorded west of the Rocky Mountains from California and south-eastern British Columbia.
