Centris pallida is a species of solitary bee native to North America. It lacks an accepted common name; however, it has been called the digger bee, the desert bee, and the pallid bee due to its actions, habitat, and color respectively. The solitary nature of this bee allows for a dual-strategy mating system which produces an evolutionarily stable state resistant to invading strategies.

Centris pallida es una especie de abeja solitaria nativa de América del Norte de la superfamilia Apoidea, subfamilia Apinae. ​ Carece de un nombre común aceptado; sin embargo, se le ha llamado "abeja excavadora", "abeja del desierto", y "abeja pálida" debido a sus acciones, hábitat y color respectivamente. La naturaleza solitaria de esta abeja permite un sistema de apareamiento de doble estrategia que produce un estado evolutivamente estable.
