Shaggy Bat

Centronycteris est un genre de chauves-souris insectivores. Centronycteris maximiliani (J. Fischer, 1829) est la seule espèce du genre Centronycteris.

The shaggy bat (Centronycteris maximiliani) is a bat species from northern South America. It appears to be a slow flier and has a rather regular pattern of foraging in its home range, a feature shared with other emballonurids. It is an aerial insectivore.

Hábitat Vive en el interior de selvas, durmiendo durante el día en el interior de agujeros en los troncos de los grandes árboles.
