Centurio senex est la seule espèce de chauve-souris du genre Centurio (famille des Phyllostomidae). On la rencontre en Amérique centrale et en Amérique du Sud (Belize, Colombie, Costa Rica, Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexique, Nicaragua, Panama, Trinité-et-Tobago, Venezuela). Description Ces chauves-souris sont très spéciales, la plupart du temps à cause des plis et des ailerons complexes de la peau autour du visage.
The wrinkle-faced bat (Centurio senex) is a species of bat in the family Phyllostomidae and the only identified member of the genus Centurio. This bat is found in various countries in and around Central America. It eats fruit but is not classified within the fruit bats, and is instead classified as a leaf-nosed bat even though it does not have a leaf nose.
El murciélago de cara arrugada, de alas en enrejado o reticuladas (Centurio senex) es una especie de murciélago microquiróptero de la familia Phyllostomidae. Es la única especie de su género. Su área de distribución comprende desde México hasta Venezuela, además de Trinidad y Tobago.
