Golden Butterflyfish

Chaetodon auripes est une espèce de poissons de la famille des Chaetodontidae pouvant atteindre une vingtaine de centimètres de long et vivant à l'ouest du pacifique, du Japon à Taïwan.

Chaetodon auripes, the oriental butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish in the butterflyfish family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the western Pacific Ocean, off the coasts of East Asia. Taxonomy Chaetodon auripes was first formally described in 1901 by the American ichthyologists David Starr Jordan and John Otterbein Snyder with the type locality given as Nagasaki.

El Chaetodon auripes es una especie de pez marino del género Chaetodon, familia Chaetodontidae. ​ Su nombre común, pez mariposa oriental, se debe básicamente a su ubicación en el Océano Pacífico occidental, aunque su población se expandió al Océano Índico, hasta las Islas Maldivas aproximadamente. Morfología Posee la morfología típica de su familia, cuerpo ovalado y comprimido lateralmente.
