Demon Charaxes

Charaxes etheocles, the demon charaxes, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in Senegal, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia. Biology The habitat consists of tropical and subtropical evergreen forests.

Charaxes est un genre de lépidoptères (papillons) appartenant à la famille des Nymphalidae, à la sous-famille des Charaxinae et à la tribu des Charaxini. Description Distribution Le genre Charaxes comprend environ 200 espèces majoritairement distribuées en Afrique tropicale. Plusieurs groupes d'espèces sont également présents dans les régions Orientale et Australasienne (y compris certaines îles du Pacifique).
