Charaxes zelica

Charaxes est un genre de lépidoptères (papillons) appartenant à la famille des Nymphalidae, à la sous-famille des Charaxinae et à la tribu des Charaxini. Description Distribution Le genre Charaxes comprend environ 200 espèces majoritairement distribuées en Afrique tropicale. Plusieurs groupes d'espèces sont également présents dans les régions Orientale et Australasienne (y compris certaines îles du Pacifique).

Charaxes zelica, the zelica untailed charaxes, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and possibly Sierra Leone. The habitat consists of forests with altitudes of 800–1,000 metres (2,600–3,300 ft).
