Long-finned Gurnard

Chelidonichthys est un genre de poissons téléostéens de la famille des Triglidae. Ces poissons sont généralement appelés « grondins ».

The longfin gurnard (Chelidonichthys obscurus), the long-finned gurnard or shining gurnard, is a species of ray-finned fish belonging to the family Triglidae, the gurnards and sea robins. This fish is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, including the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. This species is of commercial importance as a food fish.

Las vacas y rubios o escarchos son la familia Triglidae de peces marinos incluida en el orden Scorpaeniformes, distribuidos por mares y estuarios de todas las aguas templadas y tropicales del mundo. ​ Su nombre procede del griego trigla = salmonete rojo (por su parecido con este pez). ​ Aparecen por primera vez en el registro fósil en el Eoceno, durante el Terciario inferior.
