Les Artheneidae sont une famille d'insectes hétéroptères (punaises) de la super-famille des Lygaeoidea, qui comprend une vingtaine d'espèces. Description La plupart des espèces sont de teintes cryptiques, jaunes-brunâtres à noir, plus ou moins contrasté. Au sein d’une même espèce la coloration peut varier selon le mélanisme général.

Chilacis typhae, the bulrush bug, is a species of true bug in the family Artheneidae. It is found in Europe and Northern Asia (excluding China) and North America. It is typically associated with greater reedmace and Typha angustifolia; adults can be found pairing on the seed heads between spring and autumn.
