Least Slippery Snail

Cochlicopa, whose species are known as pillar snails, is a genus of small air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Cochlicopidae. This genus is prevalent in the Northern Hemisphere across the United States, Mexico and Europe. These snails feed mostly on plant matter, detritus and fungi.

Cochlicopa lubricella, le Petite brillante, est une espèce d'escargots terrestres pulmonés de la famille des Cochlicopidae. Cette espèce est étroitement liée à Cochlicopa lubrica, mais sa coquille est plus étroite. Répartition C’est une espèce qui se retrouve en Europe centrale et de l’est, ainsi que sur quelques territoires en France dont l’Aisne, le Nord, le Pas-de-Calais et la Somme.
