The black-faced cotinga (Conioptilon mcilhennyi) is a species of bird in the family Cotingidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru. Taxonomy and systematics The black-faced cotinga was first described by George Lowery and John O'Neill in 1966 and placed in a new genus.

El cotinga carinegro​ o cotinga de cara negra (en Perú) (Conioptilon mcilhennyi),​ es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Cotingidae. Es el único miembro del género monotípico Conioptilon. Es nativo de la región amazónica occidental, en América del Sur.
