Contarinia virginianiae, known as chokecherry midge or chokecherry gall midge, is a species of gall midges in the family Cecidomyiidae. Its host is the chokecherry Prunus virginiana. Description Gall Tiny yellowish-orange maggots feed on the developing fruit.
