Elm-currant Aphid

Eriosoma ulmi, le kermès de l'orme, un puceron lanigère, est une espèce d'insectes hémiptères de la famille des Aphididae. Sa cible principale étant l'orme, cela justifie son nom vernaculaire. Dans le même genre Eriosoma, on trouve l'espèce Eriosoma lanuginosum (Hartig, 1839), dont la cible est l'orme champêtre (Ulmus minor).

Eriosoma ulmi, the elm-currant aphid, is a species of aphid in the family Aphididae found in Asia and Europe. It is a true bug and sucks sap from plants. It was described by Carl Linnaeus in his Systema Naturae, published in 1758.
