The chestnut-bellied euphonia (Euphonia pectoralis) is a species of bird in the family Fringillidae, the finches and euphonias. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Taxonomy and systematics The chestnut-bellied euphonia was formally described in 1801 with the binomial Pipra pectoralis, mistakenly identifying it as a manakin.
