Eupsittula canicularis, also known as the orange-fronted parakeet, orange-fronted conure, half-moon conure or Petz's conure is a vulnerable species of birds in subfamily Arinae of the family Psittacidae, the African and New World parrots. It is found from western Mexico to Costa Rica. Taxonomy and systematics The orange-fronted parakeet was formally described in 1758 by Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus in the 10th edition of his Systema Naturae.
