Golden Buprestid

Les coléoptères (Coleoptera) sont un ordre d'Insectes holométaboles dotés d'élytres protégeant leurs ailes. Le mot « coléoptère » vient du grec κολεός / koleós « fourreau » et πτερόν / pterón « aile ». Il s'agit de l'ordre animal qui comporte le plus grand nombre d'espèces décrites.

Buprestis aurulenta, commonly known as the golden jewel beetle or golden buprestid, is a species of beetle in the genus Buprestis. The larvae of Buprestis aurulenta live inside a variety of coniferous trees and can survive for long periods in dry wood. The adult beetle is an iridescent green, with shining orange trim all around the wing covers.

Eurythyrea austriaca es una especie de escarabajo del género Eurythyrea, familia Buprestidae. ​ Fue descrita científicamente por Linnaeus en 1767.
