Marsh Hottentot Skipper

Le genre Gegenes regroupe des lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Hesperiidae et de la sous-famille des Hesperiinae. Dénomination Ils ont été nommés Gegenes par Jakob Hübner en 1819. Synonyme : Philoodus Rambur, 1840; Ils se nomment en anglais Pygmy Skippers ou Hottentots.

Gegenes hottentota, the marsh Hottentot skipper, Hottentot skipper or Latreille's skipper, is a butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is found in Africa and south-western Arabia. It is notably documented to fly in Burkina Faso.
