Western Xenica

Geitoneura minyas est une espèce de papillons de la famille des Nymphalidae, de la sous-famille des Satyrinae et du genre Geitoneura, endémique de l'Australie. Systématique L'espèce Geitoneura minyas a été initialement décrite en 1914 par les entomologistes australiens Gustavus Athol Waterhouse (d) (1877-1950) et George Lyell (d) (1866-1951) sous le protonyme de Xenica minyas. Nom vernaculaire Geitoneura minyas se nomme Western Xenica en anglais.

Geitoneura minyas, the western xenica, is a species of butterfly from the family Nymphalidae, found in the south-west of the Australian state of Western Australia. Description The adults have orange wings with brown veins and markings. They have an eyespot on each forewing, and a vestigial eyespot on each hindwing.
