Helicina orbiculata

Helicina est un genre d'escargots terrestres des Tropiques. Ses espèces sont répandues aux Amériques, du Brésil aux États-Unis et aux Antilles. Il existe aussi deux espèces dans le Pacifique, une aux Fidji et une aux Tonga.

Helicina orbiculata is a species of land snail with an operculum, a terrestrial gastropod mollusk in the family Helicinidae. Distribution This species lives in north-eastern Mexico, Texas, and Florida; especially the northern half of the Florida panhandle, and the central part of Texas, or the parts with a more tropical/subtropical climate. They will survive in areas that have occasional freezes, most likely by burrowing and resurfacing when the ground saturates in the spring.
