Thompson's Butterflyfish

Hemitaurichthys thompsoni, Thompson's butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a butterflyfish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the Pacific Ocean. Description Hemitaurichthys thompsoni is a medium-sized butterflyfish, the body is uniformly bluish grey in colour and it has the typical short snout and compressed body of species within the genus Hemitaurichthys.

Hemitaurichthys est un genre regroupant quatre espèces de poissons marins de la famille des Chaetodontidae (les « poissons-papillons »).

Hemitaurichthys thompsoni es una especie de peces perteneciente al género Hemitaurichthys. Posee la forma rectangular característica del género y es de color grisáceo brillante. Estos peces están acostumbrados a los arrecifes coralinos de los fondos oscuros y tropicales de la zona del Océano Pacífico central y oeste.
