The fourwing flyingfish (Hirundichthys affinis) is a species of marine ray-finned fish in the family Exocoetidae. It is found in warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean and is an important commercial and bait fish across much of the Caribbean, where it is heavily fished, most notably off Barbados. Description Hirundichthys affinis has an elongated, broadly cylindrical body with a short, blunt snout and small jaws of roughly equal length.
