El alacrán o escorpión peludo gigante (Hoffmannihadrurus gertschi) es un arácnido perteneciente a la familia Caraboctonidae del orden Scorpiones. Esta especie fue descrita por Soleglad en 1976. El nombre del género Hoffmannihadrurus es en honor al aracnólogo mexicano Carlos C.
