Bloxworth Snout

Les Noctuidae (ou Noctuidés) constituent une famille de lépidoptères (papillons) majoritairement nocturnes. Ils représentent une des familles de lépidoptères les plus diversifiées, avec environ 12 000 espèces décrites. Toutes leurs chenilles sont phytophages (à l'exception d'une espèce prédatrice de cochenilles).

Hypena obsitalis, the Bloxworth snout, is a moth of the family Erebidae. It is found in the Mediterranean Basin including North Africa and in the Near East and Middle East, south up to the Sahara. Further north it is a migrant which occasionally establishes.
