It is found in Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, southern Nigeria, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, southern Sudan and Uganda. The habitat consists of the transition zone between savanna and forest.
