Magombera Single-horned Chameleon

Kinyongia magomberae, the Magombera chameleon or Magombera single-horned chameleon, is an endangered species of chameleon found only in humid submontane forests in the Udzungwa Mountains in Tanzania. The existence of this species was first realized in 2002 when a dead juvenile was found by a researcher. In the next few years, two further specimens were discovered, including one dropped by a twig snake after it had been startled.

Kinyongia magomberae, comúnmente conocida como el camaleón de Magombera, es una especie de reptil de la familia Chamaeleonidae. El holotipo de esta especie fue descubierto dentro de las fauces de una serpiente Thelotornis en el bosque de Magombera, Tanzania por Andrew Marshall de la Universidad de York. La serpiente fue sorprendida por Marshall y dejó caer el camaleón, que después de ser examinado, se concluyó que era una nueva especie.
