Hemlock Looper Moth

Lambdina fiscellaria est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères de la famille des Geometridae, originaire d'Amérique du Nord. Cette espèce ravageuse est appelée « arpenteuse de la pruche » sous sa forme chenille. Elle a détruit plusieurs millions d’hectares de conifères durant l'histoire du Canada et y est donc un défoliateur de première importance.

Lambdina fiscellaria, the mournful thorn or hemlock looper, is a moth of the family Geometridae. It is found in North America, from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast and from Canada south to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and California. The wingspan is about 35 mm.
