Leporinus friderici (or the threespot leporinus) is a species of freshwater fish in the family Anostomidae native to South America. The species is important for subsistence fisheries and is widely used in fish stocking programs in its native range. Distribution and habitat Leoprinus friderici is found throughout Suriname and the Amazon River basin.

Leporinus friderici es una especie de pez de agua dulce del género Leporinus, de la familia Anostomidae. Se distribuye en aguas cálidas y templado-cálidas del norte de Sudamérica. ​ Esta especie alcanza una longitud total de 40 cm, y un peso de 1,5 kg.
