Lethrinus olivaceus, common name longface emperor or long-nosed emperor, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Lethrinidae, the emperors or emperor breams. This species has a wide Indo-Pacific distribution. Taxonomy Lethrinus olivaceus was first formally described by the French zoologist Achille Valenciennes in 1830 with its type locality given as Anyer in West Java, Indonesia.
