Le Papillon longs-palpes (Libytheana carinenta) est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) qui appartient à la famille des Nymphalidae, à la sous-famille des Libytheinae et au genre Libytheana. Dénomination Libytheana carinenta a été nommé par Pieter Cramer en 1777. Synonymes : Papilio carinenta Cramer, [1777]; Hypatus carinenta ; Dyar, 1903.

Libytheana is a genus of nymphalid butterflies in the snout butterfly subfamily, Libytheinae. Libytheana carinenta is found in both North and South America and is known to be migratory. The other species in the genus are restricted to the Caribbean.

Libytheana es un género de mariposas ninfálidos de la subfamilia Libytheinae. Libytheana carinenta (Cramer, 1777) se encuentra en Sudamérica y el sur de Norteamérica; se sabe que es migratoria, algunos años en grandes números. ​ Otras especies del género están limitadas al Caribe.
