Darwin's Tree Iguana

Liolaemus darwinii, commonly known as Darwin's tree iguana, is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae. It is endemic to Argentina. Etymology The specific name, darwinii, is in honor of English naturalist Charles Darwin, the author of On the Origin of Species.

Liolaemus darwinii o lagartija austral es una especie de iguánido de aproximadamente 12 cm de largo. Se la encuentra comúnmente en Bahía Blanca, Patagonia, Argentina. Características Los machos son marrones con dos líneas amarillas que recorren su lomo tienen un moteado en la espalda según la edad tienen el cuello amarillo o naranja.
